The program is intended for university graduates wishing to specialize in the field of corporate tax management, whether as internal advisors or as external consultants, particularly in the international taxation sector, and meeting the following profile:
Holding a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, being especially suited, based on the topics covered, to university graduates in Law and/or Economics and Business Administration and Management, with or without experience.
Having a solid academic record. The candidate would be called for a personal interview with the Master's Course Director.

Special emphasis is placed on the practice of Tax Law and so it should be noted that students enrolled in the Licentiate Degree in Law take the maximum number of credits assigned to the taxation part of the curriculum (21 ECTS credits worth of compulsory subjects and a variety of optional subjects including International Taxation). In addition, Comillas boasts an impressive track-record having taught 37 generations of students who came away with a Master's Degree in Tax Advice.
In short, the professional careers it leads to and the interest shown by companies in this course justify its place among our Official Degree programs

The teaching methodology applied with a view to achieving the above objectives combines classes, specialized seminars and workshops. As evidenced by the learning objectives identified, the program aims not only for the students to acquire knowledge but also for them to be able to conduct their professional duties with rigor and excellence. To do so, the teaching is eminently practical and focused on fostering teamwork.
Contact hours with the lecturer are supplemented with self-study hours, where the students have the opportunity to engage in guided reading assignments based on a list of resources provided by the lecturer, class preparation, writing assignments and making oral presentations.

The students must pass assessments covering the study program through a mixed evaluation system. On the one hand, the lecturers in charge of each of the modules assess whether the student has achieved the subject's learning objectives. This evaluation takes place throughout the Master's program by means of continuous assessment and/or examinations, with the aim to verify that the student has fully grasped the module content and developed the specific competencies associated to it. On the other hand, the student must pass a final examination that consists of a series of elements from the different subjects integrated into an essay or research paper based on which oral, written and practical exercises will be conducted. This examination is assessed by a mixed tribunal composed of faculty members from Comillas Pontifical University and from a public university. Both assessment parts contribute in equal measure to the final grade of the Master's program.

The Master's program is intended for university graduates wishing to supplement their training in order to work in the field of corporation tax management with a high level of professional excellence. The university offers internships in some of the professional firms that collaborate in the organization of the Master's program, in order to boost the employability of our students. These internships, however, do not correspond to any credits within the Master's program course content; therefore, they are neither mandatory for students, nor a prerequisite for being awarded the degree.
Our sponsors and other renowned firms in the Spanish legal sphere collaborate with our internship program.
Moreover, the Master's students have full access to the Internship and Careers Office at Comillas Pontifical University both during and at the end of the academic year. In order for students to have a manageable course load throughout the year which does not interfere with their studies, the office does not offer Master's students internships exceeding 10 hours per week.

The students' high academic performance and motivation levels (so recognized by industry professionals) translate into excellent employability rates upon completion of the Master's degree. In addition, students completing the Master's program are guaranteed a place by the University on a three-month internship program (July 1 to September 30, 2014). Our sponsors (including some of the top law firms in Spain) offer grants to help the students complete their studies.
