Course programme
Olympic lifting forms an integral part of the strength and conditioning programmes of many athletes from a wide variety of sports. If you work with athletes from swimming to shot putt, rugby to rowing, then being able to teach and apply the Olympic lifts and modified lifts to your clients will greatly improve their performance. This course covers all of the pre-requisite exercises, the Olympic lifts (Snatch, Clean and Jerk), the modified Olympic lifts and the Olympic Pulls.
This course will teach you the history, benefits, terminology and correct techniques of the Olympic lifts and variations. You will learn how to gradually develop your clients athleticism and speed strength using this form of training, and how to test and implement a sound resistance training programme.
