About this course
The Online Modules 1-9
The aim of the Online Modules 1-9 is to give a health and social care worker a set of courses that are renewable every year, and will refresh their mandatory training needs, including contributing to their professional development. The module covers a wide range of subjects to give the worker the best possible insight into issues surrounding Health & Safety.
Safeguarding Children & Young Adults Level 2
Level 2 Safeguarding Practitioners should:
1. Act as an effective advocate for the child or young person (for example, Understanding the Needs of Children in Northern Ireland (UNOCINI) within Northern Ireland)
2. Be clear about own and colleagues’ roles, responsibilities and professional responsibilities
Be able to refer as appropriate to role to social care if a safeguarding/child protection concern is identified
3. Understand the paramount importance of the child or young person's best interests as reflected in legislation and key statutory and non-statutory guidance (including the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and the Human Rights Act)
This course in intended for all health and social care workers who work with children and young adults.
