This includes those involved in horticulture, agriculture (cropping and livestock rearing) and other associated industries. For those not involved in organic practices it provides an ideal opportunity to study alternatives to standard practices.

The history of the organic movement Certification and conversion procedures Organisations in the organic movement and general organic practices Planning organic cropping systems and maintaining healthy growth of organic crops Organic livestock regulations and feeding strategies Livestock health, regulations and treatments including preventative strategies and herd/flock health Management practices for a range of organic production areas including whole-system approaches, biological controls and sustainable practices Managing a healthy soil The economics of organic production Students are required to attend a series of lectures, seminars and practicals. Guest speakers from various industry-based organisations are used to give a workplace perspective.
