Paediatric First Aid - Six Hour Course
This course is suitable for Nannies wishing to join the Voluntary part
of the Ofsted Childcare Register (OCR). It is also suitable for Au Pairs,
Babysitters, Parents and anybody who cares for children and needs a basic
course.
Delivered by paediatric specialists it includes both theory and practical sessions.
This one day (6 hour) course is delivered at your venue and can be run at the weekend by arrangement.
The OCR required syllabus covers such topics as:
- First Aid Priorities
- Dealing with an Emergency
- Choking - Child and Baby
- Resuscitation (CPR) - Child and Baby
- Anaphylaxis
- Bleeding and Shock
- Burns & Scalds
- Eye & Ear injuries
- Fractures
- Childhood illnesses including Meningitis and Febrile Convulsions
Certification is dependent on successful continuous assessment, there is no final examination. Those delegates who complete the course, and are deemed to have reached the required standard, are awarded a certificate that is valid for three years.
Cost
The cost of this training is £395 plus vat for up to 14 delegates to attend. This includes a certificate and manual for each delegate. There are no additional costs.
