Course programme
This course meets Ofsted first aid requirements for registered childminders and the requirements for first aid for nannies under the Department for Children, Schools and Families Approved Carers Scheme. This course meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework.
The course focuses heavily on dealing with child and infant first aid. All our Paediatric course trainers hold an enhanced CRB disclosure.
This children’s first aid training can be used as evidence for employees working towards an NVQ in Childcare and Education.This is a 12 hour course and is usually delivered as two 6 hour days, or 3 four hour twilight sessions.
This course follows the guidelines of and was approved by the NCMA (National Child Minding Association) and the PLA (Pre-school Learning Alliance) until July 2005 (NCMA & PLA no longer validate training organisations).
