Paediatric First Aid

OFSTED Paediatric First Aid for Registered Childcarers and Nursery Staff

This is a comprehensive paediatric course which meets the criteria set out in the Early years Foundation Stage Framework as inspected by OFSTED.

It includes everything covered on the Lifesaver and Essential courses listed above plus:

• Recording accidents and incidents
• Planning for emergencies
• Appropriate contents for a first aid kit
• Responding appropriately to foreign objects in eyes/ears/nose
• Eye Injuries Responding appropriately to the effects of extreme heat/cold
• Management of chronic medical conditions including sickle cell anaemia and diabetes.
