Art workshops in the Gloucestershire countryside exploring a variety of simple printmaking techniques. Suitable for beginners and experienced artists wanting to try something new.
This 10 week course will introduce you, in a friendly and relaxed way, to a variety of painterly printmaking techniques including monotypes, drypoint, collagraphs and chine-collee. We will use everyday or recycled materials and less toxic inks create beautiful images printed using an etching press. It is suitable for complete beginners or those with some experience.
Small groups of 6-8 people to ensure individual attention. Barn Studios is set in lovely rural surroundings yet easily accessible to Gloucester, Cheltenham and Ledbury. Close to motorway networks. Ample parking.

Issi Lammas
Artist
Issi Lammas, studied art and design in Harrogate, before completing a Fine Art (Painting) Degree at the Cheltenham Art College (GLOSCAT). Developing her skills in drawing and painting, Issi also experimented with a range of printmaking techniques to create atmospheric landscape images. She is a qualified teacher and practising artist.
Course programme
The 10 week course will cover creating subtractive and additive monotypes, drypoint on plastic, combining chine collee. The safe use of an etching press. Inking and wiping techniques and collagraph plate making and printing. Techniques including monotype printing:

You will use everyday or recycled materials and less toxic inks create beautiful images printed using an etching press.
