Course programme
During the course we will explore ways of accessing the imagination and create paintings from a variety of sources of inspiration. You will be introduced to a range of artists and their sources of inspiration ranging from everyday life, to landscape, colour and visionary experience. Each session will offer some skills input e.g. on colour, gesture, ways of developing your own subject matter, and means of articulating your experience directly through the medium of paint. You will develop a toolkit of painting methods and ideas that will inform your work into the future. There will be a short guided meditation each day to aid concentration in your painting practice.
