Painting and Decorating (Level 2)

Subjects include: Know how to and prepare surfaces for decoration Know how to and apply standard papers to walls and ceilings Know how to and produce specialist decorative finishes Know how to and apply water-borne paint systems using spray equipment Know how to and carry out safe working practices in Construction Knowledge of and use of information, quantities and communication with others Knowledge of and use of building methods and Construction technology Know how to and erect and dismantle access equipment and working Platforms Functional Skills in English and Maths English and Maths are an essential part of your studies and will help you succeed on your course. These subjects will help you develop confidence and are the key employability skills that all employers now look for when recruiting. While on programme you will be expected to achieve Functional Skills Level 2 or higher in English and Maths or an improvement on your GCSE ‘D grade in these subjects.Enterprise Skills Our full-time courses are designed to help you achieve your ambitions whether your goal is to go on to a higher level of study or whether you are looking to start a job. Therefore as part of your course there will be employability and study skills (we call these PD Central) that are included to meet your needs and those of the industry you want your career in.
