Are you a qualified electrician in possession of 17th Edition and working in the building trades. are you looking to gain a working knowledge of how electrical installations in homes can affect building construction as well as how to comply with relevant regulations

Part P is a requirement of a "Competent persons scheme" run by ELECSA, NAPIT, NIC and others, any candidate wishing to apply to become an installer must also be able to show competence to BS 7671 (17th Edition wiring Regulations)

Once the candidate has successfully attained both 17th Edition and Part P they can apply to join a competent persons scheme and it is being accepted on to a Part P scheme that allows individuals to test, inspect & certify new installations domestic (single phase only)
