About this course

All applicants to the NICEIC Domestic Installer Scheme must meet a number of requirements, in particular be able to demonstrate they have the ability to install, inspect, test and certify their work in accordance with BS 7671, and to comply with the relevant Building Regulations.

Course Content

In order for electrical installers to self-certify that their domestic installation work in England and Wales is compliant with Part P of the building regulations. They must either be registered with a competent person scheme such as the NICEIC Domestic Installer Scheme or register electrical work with the local building control before work starts.

Successful completion of the course and appropriate assessment will suitably prepare delegates to undergo site inspection under the NICEIC Domestic Installer Scheme.

How long will the course take?
Five days including assessments.

Domestic Electrical Installation Guide £20.00 or the On-Site Guide £22.00 and the Electrical Installers Guide to Building Regulations £20.00.

Is there an exam?
There will be a one day assessment.

When will I know if I've passed?
The NICEIC will inform you of your results when your papers have been processed.
