Part P Electrical

Part P Electrical (Incorporating the requirements for electrical safety (Part P) of the Building Regulations) & EAL VRQ Level 2 Certificate for Domestic Electrical Installers

In order for electrical installers to self-certify that their domestic installation work in England and Wales is compliant with Part P of the building regulations. They must either be registered with a competent person scheme such as the NAPIT or NICEIC Domestic Installer Scheme or register electrical work with the local building control before work starts. All applicants to the Domestic Installer Scheme must meet a number of requirements, in particular be able to demonstrate they have the ability to install, inspect, test and certify their work in accordance with BS 7671, and to comply with the relevant Building Regulations.

Successful completion of the course and appropriate assessment will suitably prepare delegates to undergo site inspection under the NAPIT or NICEIC Domestic Installer Scheme.

This training course has been provided to assist electricians and others outside the industry to prepare for Part P of the building regulations. It has been developed in partnership by the NICEIC (the National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting), CORGI and the ECA (Electrical Contractors’ Association).
