About this course
You should possess either an AAT Intermediate NVQ Level III Accounting, or a recognised UK degree in Accounting. Applicants are also required to hold a Level 3 qualification, e.g. A Levels, BTEC National Diploma, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.

The AAT Technician NVQ Level 4 in Accounting provides you with the relevant and practical skills and knowledge to work effectively as a professional accounting technician and progress to full AAT membership.
Course Content:
The aim of this course is to cover the unit specifications as designed by the lead body for Accounting and AAT. The course consists of the following mandatory units:
* Students will also choose two from the following four units:
Plus any one from the following two units:
- Drafting financial statements (accounting practice, industry and commerce)
- Drafting financial statements (Central Government)
* This unit may have been completed at a lower level.

Entry Requirements:
You should possess either an AAT Intermediate NVQ Level III Accounting, or a recognised UK degree in Accounting. Applicants are also required to hold a Level 3 qualification, e.g. A Levels, BTEC National Diploma, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
Entry Process:
There is no interview required unless requested.
Assessment:
Assessment is by a mixture of formal examinations, projects and skills tests.
Progression Routes:
Students not wishing to apply for AAT membership will hold an NVQ level IV. The qualification provides exemptions from the professional accountancy bodies ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA and CIPFA. The College offers the ACCA professional scheme qualification.
Career Options:
Achieving the NVQ Level IV permits students to apply for membership status of the AAT, and permits the use of the designatory letters MAAT.
