Aromatherapy is the specialist application of essential oils used in a variety of contexts. The critical aspect of this qualification is the decision making concerned with the safe and effective blending of essential oils to produce individual prescriptions for clients. On completion the you will receive a professional qualification suitable for private practice or establishments where aromatherapy treatments are provided.

Entry requirements
Level 3 anatomy and physiology or equivalent, General education comparable to GCSEs pass grade or above, related level 2/3 qualifications, a mature approach to study with a high level of motivation.

What will I study?
You will study: Unit VR27 - assess the Client & Blend Oils for Aromatherapy; Unit VR28 ? Provide Aromatherapy Massage; VR160 ? Demonstrate Consultation Skills for Therapy Assessments and Unit VR02 & VR74 Health & Safety if not previously achieved.

How will I be assessed?
Your practical skills are assessed on a continuous basis in a realistic environment. You will produce a portfolio of evidence including case studies and assignments.
