Course Details

The BTEC National Award has a wide and varied range of subjects. The Award course is made up of six units; four core units and two specialist units which explore particular topics in more depth in the first year. The four core units include; Exploring Business Activities, Investigating Business Resources, Introduction to Marketing and Effective People, Communication and Information. A further two specialist units will also be studied. Assessment consists of course work completion and in class tests.

Qualifications required:
EDEXCEL (BTEC) First Certificate grade Merit or above, 4 GCSEs at grades A - C to include English and Maths. Mature students with appropriate, relevant work experience will be considered. (All students are required to undertake an initial assessment at the start of the course).

Please note that attendance to all sessions is essential. This course may not be suited to those who are unable to attend due to shift work.
