Content The BTEC National Certificate in Operations and Maintenance Engineering is designed to produce technicians who have the practical skills, knowledge & understanding required for success in todays constantly changing industrial climate. Spread over two years, the National Certificate prepares students for employment in a range of operations and maintenance occupations including: install, operate & maintain complex engineering systems currently used throughout the broad range of manufacturing, engineering and assembly industries. The course may also form part of the Advanced Apprenticeship scheme framework.
Assessment The course is assessed by assignments and examination.

Other Information Alternative entry qualifications are the BTEC First Diploma in Engineering, City & Guilds 2800 Part II or City & Guilds Part II (Electrical Engineering). Mature students may be exempt from formal entry qualifications. To progress to year 2, students should have successfully completed year 1 of the course. If you are enrolling on your FIRST Level 3 course it may be free. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE FEE FOR THE SECOND YEAR OF THIS COURSE IS 740.
