Duration: Part Time for 1 Year - 1 afternoon and 1 evening

Course Description
This course is for those individuals working with vulnerable adults. The course aims to develop the knowledge of the student to improve skills and expertise within the workplace. This is a Higher education course awarded by the University of Glamorgan. Classes are provided within Merthyr College but students are able to use facilities within both establishments. Some employers may offer some financial support for students whilst other students will need to self-fund.

What you will Study
· Content and Recognition of Abuse
· Policies and Practice when working with vulnerable adults
· Employment module. Enables the student to demonstrate competence within the workplace and to link theory to practice

On Completion
Students will exit with 120 credits and may access other Higher education courses. Progression on to the Diploma in Working with Vulnerable Adults is also possible.
