CERTIFICATE IN SWEDISH MASSAGE

Who is this course for?

Swedish massage is the most commonly used qualification type for body massage. It can be extended in workplace situations to meet specific needs.

The main objectives of the qualification are to provide an understanding of body massage, primarily for stress relief, lymphatic drainage and as a basis for massage for a wide variety of outcomes. The qualification is suitable for those employed in Beauty Therapy, Health and Sports Therapies, Holistic Therapies and in association with a range of other treatments designed to relieve stress.

You will be required to carry out massage treatments in a realistic working environment. Students will also be required to promote all salon services and to bring in their own clients for assessment. Clients are charged a nominal amount for salon treatments.
