Childrens Care, Learning & Dev. L3 NVQ
This course is designed for those working with children under 8 who wish to obtain a full qualification which equips them for supervisory posts. There are 14 units in the full NVQ and candidates build up portfolios of evidence, supported by workshops. You are assigned an assessor who observes you at work and helps plan your programme. The course may be started at various times of the year, with a variety of delivery and attendance modes available.

Awarding body:
Council for Awards in Childrens Care and Education (CACHE).

Entry Requirements:
You must be aged 25 or over and should have been working (paid or unpaid) in an appropriate setting with children aged under eight for a minimum of one year. You must also hold an NVQ Level 2 (or an equivalent qualification) in a relevant subject. On occasion, exceptions can be made (at the discretion of the College) for applicants who do not hold a suitable qualification but who possess a sufficient level of experience in early years. Accreditation of Prior Learning / Experience:
Some students may qualify for exemption from parts of the course through their experience or prior qualifications; this will be discussed on an individual basis at interview.

Entry Process:
An interview with the course tutor will be arranged at the earliest opportunity after receiving your application.

Career Options:
After sufficient experience, management posts in child care may be obtained.
