About this course
You must be aged 25 or over and should have been working (paid or unpaid) in an appropriate setting with children aged under eight for a minimum of one year. You must also hold an NVQ Level 2 (or an equivalent qualification) in a relevant subject. On occasion, exceptions can be made (at the discretion of the College) for applicants who do not hold a suitable qualification but who possess a sufficient level of experience in early years. Accreditation of Prior Learning / Experience:
Some students may qualify for exemption from parts of the course through their experience or prior qualifications; this will be discussed on an individual basis at interview.

After sufficient experience, management posts in child care may be obtained.
