What will I study?
You will be taught through a practical approach, writing programmes, which will be simulated on computer or produced on the Bridgeport Vertical Milling Machine (VMC). Appropriate underpinning knowledge will be included to support practical programming activities. Facilities for studying include: Modern Engineering workshops with industrial scale C.N.C. machinery. Computer suites with full ?off-line? programming facilities. Machine tool controllers have FANUC, HEIDENHAIN or EMCO-TRONIC programme languages.
How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed by completing a range of practical tasks and a written test assesses the underpinning knowledge.
Career Opportunities & Progression
After successful completion of the course you may wish to progress to NC/CNC Advanced Part Programming or alternatively pursue employment in the engineering industry.
