Counselling (Pathways to)
If you are interested in a career in Counselling, or you currently work in care, education, health, human resources or the police and wish to enhance your primary role then you may wish to pursue this course.

You will learn about and practice some of the skills needed in a counselling relationship as well as the many settings that counselling takes place.

The mental health first aid course will teach you how to give initial help to someone experiencing a mental health problem, deal with a crisis situation or the first signs of someone developing mental ill health and guide people towards appropriate professional help.

The course covers:
Introduction to Counselling; Counselling Skills; Mental Health First aid.

Further Study/Employment
After successful completion of this course you can apply for the HNC in Counselling.
