Creative Skills Programme
This course is run at Cumnock Community College and is designed to meet the needs of adults who require support with their learning and are specifically disadvantaged by mental health difficulties and/or learning difficulties. The aim of the course is to develop core skills and increase confidence allowing progression to other college courses. Students can choose between a 2 day course which offers a range of art and craft activities with integrated core skills or a three day course which consists of both the creative activities of arts and crafts, pottery and painting and core skills which include literacy, numeracy and IT. Individual literacy support is also on offer.

Progression
Assessment reports from all subject areas will form an integral part of the student's Personal Learning and Support Plan. This will go forward with the student to the next step which could be a training or college course.
