Career Prospects and Progression

Completion of the course would allow successful students to progress to an Engineering Apprenticeship and progress to City & Guilds level 2/3

Modules

1.Working safely in an engineering environment. 2.Working efficiently and effectively in engineering. 3.Using and communicating technical information. 4.Producing components using hand fitting techniques. 5.Producing platework components and assemblies. 6.Preparing and using manual metal arc welding equipment. 7.Preparing and using manual MIG, MAG and other continuous wire welding equipment.

Method of Assessment

Continuous assessment of practical coursework and portfolio development.
