If you already have a good knowledge of computing and IT and want to develop career opportunities with a computer skills qualification this could be the course for you. It is also ideal as a progression route to other more advanced courses for you to develop your computing and IT skills and knowledge. The ECDL certificate is a valuable addition to any business with skilled, qualified staff.

The course involves Basic Concepts of IT, Using the Computer and Managing Files, Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Presentation and Drawing, Databases and Filing Systems and Information and Communication.

Your knowledge and understanding is assessed with the completion of 7 forty-five minute on-line tests. You have 3 years to complete the ECDL certificate from the date of satisfactory achievement of your first test following registration.

Further Study/Employment
Successful completion of this course (achievement of all 7 modules) will gain you a certificate from the BCS (British Computer Society) and will allow you to progress to a more advanced course such as City and Guilds Diploma for IT Users.
