COURSE CODE: 1b688-09
DAYS & TIMES: Fri 9.15am - 1.30pm
WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT?
Foundation Degrees (FDs) are the new qualifications that are designed to:
Equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary for success in your current and future role at work
Provide a flexible form of learning so that you can study at a pace that fits in with your other commitments
Provide a route to higher level qualifications for example, a degree at undergraduate and masters level
In addition, the FD in Accounting focuses on enhancing your financial and accounting capabilities in the context of your workplace
We believe this FD is special:
It is one of only a handful of FDs in the UK that is specially linked to accounting
Uniquely it is backed by the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) who were fully involved in its development
Iit is a natural progression for AAT graduates who wish to gain a relevant qualification but do not wish to take the professional route
It is delivered by e-based distance learning, therefore it can be accessed anywhere in the world
In addition to the course material, you will have a tutor for each module whod can be consulted on all academic issues. You also have access to all of the Universitys online facilities.
WHAT DO I NEED?
WHAT CAN I DO AFTERWARDS?
On completion, you are eligible to enter the final year of the BA honours degree in International Accounting, which can also be studied by e-based distance learning.
WHAT WILL IT COST ME?
1b688-09 Course fees 1237 16-18 year olds, 1237(1237) 19 years and over
Course fees are payable on enrolment. Costs shown in brackets are for those on income-based benefits. Refunds are not normally available.
WHAT WILL I STUDY?
The FD in Accounting has two stages, each with six subjects or modules. As you have passed AAT Technician level, you have already proved your competence in a wide rage of finance-related disciplines; therefore you are exempt from:
the whole of Stage 1 of the FD
two modules at Stage 2
This means that you have to successfully complete 4 MODULES to be awarded the FD in Accounting. The 4 modules are very different but are linked by their strong emphasis on finance and accounting.
