The equine industry is annually worth in excess of £900 million in exports alone. According to employers' organisations, there is a shortage of highly qualified professionals with the broad range of management and science skills required to work efficiently and effectively with horses. To meet this need, this foundation degree has been developed, in partnership with OxfordBrookes and local employers, to provide an accessible and flexible course which will enable students to apply theoretical knowledge to their work within the equine industry. Students will attend college for two days per week. For students who are not currently employed in the industry, there will be an opportunity to work on our yard at the Common Leys Farm Campus but students will need to find an additional suitable work placement in order to complete assessment requirements.

Fees for 2009-2010 will be £1285. All tuition fees are payable to Oxford Brookes University at Enrolment.
There is an additonal materials and enrichment fee payable to Abingdon and Witney college. This will be in the region of £150
