Who is this course for?

THE ICT Essential Skills qualification is fast becoming the most recognised and complete ICT qualification for anyone seeking basic and intermediate skills in computing. The qualification is available at a number of levels, ensuring that you receive the most appropriate training to your needs. It is widely recognised in Northern Ireland and can be complemented by other Essential Skills courses.

The course focuses on the practical skills of using computers and the Internet, ensuring that you get the most out of technology. Anyone studying the courses will find it easier to make the most of a range of Internet services and technology applications, improving your productivity at work and being more computer literate at home.

All Essential Skills courses are FREE and are fully supported by the Department for Employment and Learning. Not only is the course free, but also the examination and certificate. Essential Skills classes are taught by experienced and friendly tutors and the class numbers are small to give you the individual attention you require. Classes are usually 2 hours per week for 20 weeks. They run during the daytime, evenings and on Saturday mornings.
