Fault diagnostics of tyres, brakes, steering and suspension systems. Engine fault diagnostics and routine repair and replacement. Transmission fault diagnostics and routine repair and replacement. Electrical and electronic system fault diagnostics and routine repair and replacement. Health and safety. Key skills This level 2 course provides the underpinning knowledge required for an NVQ framework in Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair and is therefore ideal for anyone seeking a career in the Motor Industry. Learners are expected to provide boots and overalls and basic writing materials. (Text books and memory sticks would also be beneficial) Details of such requirements will be given at interview.

Qualifications required:
This course is aimed at people already employed in the motor industry, with Level 1 Award or GCSEs at Grade C or above in Maths, English and Science based subjects.
