Course Content

This short 12 week course enables participants to acquire and develop basic teaching and training skills. The course looks specifically at the role of the teacher and introduces the key principles of planning and developing learning

Method of Assessment

The course is assessed by a 30 minute micro-teaching session and evaluation delivered to peers, and an assignment based on 15 hours of practical teaching, one session of which will be observed and assessed by course tutors.

Entry Requirements

Applicants are required to have good levels of communication, numerical and information technology skills. Those who wish to proceed to the full course should have a higher level academic, craft, or equivalent professional qualification. All applicants should have access to 15 hours of teaching or training within the adult sector.
