Who is it suitable for?
Adults who have some IT knowledge and need to develop their skills to improve their prospects in the employment market.

What's on the course?
The ITQ Level 2 is an NVQ aimed at people who need to use IT in the workplace. The first thing you will do when you enrol on this course is to assess your current ability in IT. After that you will be helped to design a learning plan that will cover a range of subjects that ensure that you develop a useful set of IT skills and enable you to gain an NVQ for IT Users. Your tutor will be able to talk through all the options available and what will best suit your needs. If you already have IT qualifications these could be put towards the ITQ Level 2 qualification. This is a full level 2 qualification which means that if you do not already possess 5 GCSE's at grade C (or the equivalent) you may be able to gain this qualification at a reduced rate.

Course Length:
Up to 36 Weeks depending on existing knowledge
Entry Requirements:

Some knowledge and experience of IT is essential although formal qualifications are not necessary. In addition good English reading skills are needed.

Academic Progression:
You can complete the full ECDL qualification or move on to a level 3 qualification such as our Access to HE (Business Computing) course
