Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST)
MCDST certification is recognised by the industry worldwide and is the required entry standard for employment. This course develops your knowledge and skills in core operating system technologies and applications including installation, configuration, troubleshooting and, preventive maintenance within the Microsoft XP environment.
There are two exams involved to achieve the full MCDST certification: Supporting Users and Troubleshooting a Microsoft XP Operating System and Supporting Users and Troubleshooting Desktop Applications on a Microsoft XP Operating System. Both exams are carried out in the College test centre.

You may wish to proceed with further study towards the MCSA or in HNC Computing or HNC Computer Networking. You can seek employment in a computer support post.
