Successful completion of the certificate will demonstrate that you have gained adequate knowledge and understanding of a broad range of health and safety hazards and how to manage this as part of an integral management approach.
The National General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health is suitable for health and safety officers, personnel staff, safety representatives, middle to senior management with health and safety responsibilities and owners/managers of SMEs.
If you are an employee with health and safety responsibilities, the National Certificate will equip you with the following core skills to satisfy this demanding role:
- hazard recognition
- risk management
- knowledge of applicable national legal requirements
- workforce motivation
- recognition of human factors
- proactive and reactive monitoring strategies
- specific hazard modules and practical skills.
