The Course
NOTE: This course has a different code when studied with the Leadership and Management Award: DF4LH1 for September start or DF4LA1 for April start.

Health and Social Care course
This NVQ is for those in a senior role in caring and who wish to gain a nationally recognised qualification. The half day course will provide the underpinning knowledge and understanding for this award. The competence of the candidate will be assessed through direct observation in the workplace and a portfolio of evidence. All candidates must have a current Criminal Records Bureau Check. Children and Young People course
This NVQ runs alongside the Health and Social Care qualification for those in a senior role in caring for children 8-18 years and who wish to gain a nationally recognised qualification. The half day course will provide the underpinning knowledge and understanding for this award. The competence of the candidate will be assessed through direct observation in the workplace and a portfolio of evidence.

Entry Requirements
Senior care assistant with managerial or departmental responsibilities. All candidates must have a current Criminal Records Bureau check.
