The aim of this course is to enable candidates to obtain Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills [QTLS] Status in post-compulsory teaching.

The Certificate in Education (Cert Ed) course is a two-year programme run by Walsall College under franchise from Wolverhampton University. As such it is a Higher Education course, attracting 120 credits in total and follows full University guidelines and procedures. Upon successful completion you will gain a University certificate giving you
Qualified Teacher Status in post-compulsory teaching.
Learners are expected to be proactive with the ability to conduct research and study independently in addition to subject teaching delivery.
