Description:
This course enables students to understand and analyse major concepts and principles underlying sport and physical education.

AS Theory Units: Anatomy and Physiology Acquisitions and Skills Contemporary Issues

These units make up 70% of the course. Two practical sports are chosen which make up 10% each. The final 10% is awarded for a piece of coursework.

A2 Theory Units: Exercise Physiology Psychology of Sport Historical Aspects

These units make up 70% of the course. Two practical sports are chosen which make up 10% each. The final 10% is awarded on coursework.

Progression:
Higher Education, Employment in sports related industry.

Entry Requirements:
5 GCSEs Grade A-C (GCSE Physical Education NOT compulsory).
