Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (Light Vehicle) - Level 2
This programme develops the knowledge and skills required for employment and/or career progression within the automotive sector. The course uses a mix of theory and practical activities to develop the skills required to service, maintain and repair a range of motor vehicles. This course is recognised by the Sector Skills Council as a VRQ/Technical Certificate; which can be used as evidence of underpinning knowledge in a related Modern Apprenticeship framework.

The course programme covers areas including: Carrying out Routine Vehicle Maintenance, Remove and Replace Engine Units and Components, Remove and Replace Auxiliary Electrical Units and Components, and Remove and Replace Chassis Units and Components.

Further Study/Employment
Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (Light Vehicle) and further study in either a Scottish Vocational Qualification or Modern Apprenticeship in this subject area.
