Programme outline
The Into Work programme supports students to make their first steps into employment. Students accepted onto this course will be considered capable of gaining employment or a long term placement with an employer. The course is spread over 3 days per week, and may be a one or two year course depending on the needs of the student. It is designed for people aged 16-24 with varying degrees of learning and behaviour difficulties to find work – or find out more about the world of work. The programme helps to increase confidence and enables students to gain employability skills. As part of the course you will attend work placements in a range of different companies where you will be supported by a job coach from the college. There are opportunities to build on your own personal plan...
