PC Passport - Intermediate 2

Aimed at: This course will further develop your skills to Intermediate 2 level, providing a more advanced recognised certificate in IT use.

Additional Information: This course comprises four SQA units in the Internet, Word Processing, Spreadsheets and Presentation software

Duration: Four 40 hour SQA units

Location: Bridge, Easterhouse, the Colleges East End campus library and learning centre

Units Include:
  • Internet
      Develop routine Internet skills: learn to use a web browser to search for information and communicate using a range of Internet tools; and acquire routine skills relating to computer hardware and software
  • Spreadsheets
      Develop routine spreadsheet skills to a level expected in the workplace: be able to use a number of tools to create a spreadsheet model and analyse data in a contemporary business situation; and demonstrate file and folder management.
  • Presentations
      Develop and apply skills and knowledge to become proficient in performing everyday presentation tasks using appropriate software, learn how to create and enhance presentations; learn to manipulate and format presentations; and to deliver and amend electronic presentations.
  • Word Processing
      Develop routine word processing skills to a level expected in the workplace: be able to use a number of word processing tools to produce documents, in a variety of layout styles, and with supplementary information and formatting, of a type and standard commonly required in a modern business situation; and demonstrate file and folder management.
