Emagister adds to its catalogue PCDL Pattern Cutting and Dressmaking course for Beginners, endorsed by Lincoln College and listed on Emagister.
We will learn the basic principals of dressmaking and pattern cutting in a professional studio environment. We will start with machine sewing techniques and how to take measurements and use a size chart, and progress by making and fitting a calico toile of a basic shift dress.
We will then develop that pattern by adapting it for personal fit, learning pattern manipulation techniques and further construction methods. You will have the opportunity to add personal styling to the pattern if you wish. By the end of the course you will have a personalised pattern, understand how to alter pattern blocks and how to sew a simple garment with a professional finish.
If you are interested in learning more do not hesitate to contact Lincoln College through Emagister.co.uk.
