Our Postgraduate Diploma in Pharmacy Practice is designed to both enhance your career prospects and improve the standard of pharmaceutical practice in the community. The course gives you the qualifications you need to apply for band 7 posts and we teach you better clinical skills, improved drug knowledge and smarter, patient-focused care.The degree is a part-time course so you can study while you are still in work. You will graduate with a broader set of clinical and professional skills that are directly applicable to your workplace practice.You will develop your clinical skills and drug knowledge in a wide range of therapeutic areas, together with training in maximising patient safety, introducing change within the workplace, conducting simple research and teaching peers. All this learning is placed in the context of the national agenda for pharmacy and the wider NHS, so the training is as relevant and up-to-date as possible.

Degree Subject Pharmacy Special Entry Requirements You must be currently practising in a GPhC registered pharmacy.
Students for whom English is a Foreign language
We welcome applications from students whose first language is not English. To ensure such students benefit from postgraduate study, we require evidence of proficiency in English. Our usual entry requirements are as follows:
IELTS: 6.5 (minimum 6.0 in all components)
PTE (Pearson): 62 (minimum 55 in all components)
Test dates should be within two years of the course start date.
Other tests, including Cambridge English exams and the Trinity Integrated Skills in English are also accepted by the university. The full list of accepted tests can be found here: Accepted English Language Tests.
Intakes
There is one intake per year in November / December. Students must attend one of the induction dates with their workplace tutor.
