This year marks the tenth anniversary of the establishment of the Peninsula Medical School. In that time we have developed a national and international reputation for an innovative, clinically led and patient focussed medicaleducation programme, and in 2009 the Peninsula Medical School was joint first of medical schools for overall student satisfaction in the National Student Survey.We continue to evaluate and research our programme to ensure we remain at the forefront of teaching and learning and provide the best medical education for our students.In September 2009 the General Medical Councilissued a revised version of ‘Tomorrow’s Doctors’ – the framework for defining undergraduate medical education programmes in England andWales. We are fortunate that our curriculum is very well placed to meet the needs of the GMC, and, we believe, reflects the core requirements of the new guidance, which all medical schools will need to implement by 2011....
