The course contains definitions, on manual handling, the types of injuries you can receive due to incorrect practice, basic anatomy of the spine and muscles within the body, principles of accident prevention, types of injuries that you can receive due to incorrect manual handling and Health & Safety Law. The course also looks into different hoists and swings and will discuss their uses, limitations and correct ways to apply them.
This module is valid for 12 months and all staff have annual refreshers with certificates issued on successful completion.
