What will I learn?
This course will develop you intellectually, artistically and socially as you expand your imagination, sensitivity and artistic knowledge of dance, drama and music. It is all about the performing arts industry and the different careers and progression routes through it. You will be able to specialise in one or two areas but you don?t necessarily need to be able to dance, sing, act and play an instrument to a high standard for this course, although if you can do more than one it will be helpful.
What qualifications do I need?
We would normally require candidates to have the standard sixth form entry requirements, including GCSE English Language to at least grade C.
Career opportunities:
Besides performing in music, film or theatre productions you could go into teaching (with further training). There are also opportunities in arts administration, retail and general administration, technical support and management in performing arts.
