Performing Arts, BA - 2016/17

Our three-year programmes give students the training and direction to start a successful career in the creative and performing arts industries. We have superb new facilities; specialist tutors who are themselves professional practitioners in Music, Dance, Drama and Theatre Production; and we have excellent working relationships with the creative industries in and around our lively arts community. These potential future employers are involved in the delivery of the programme, and bring their experience and drive to our students. Everyone follows a core of modules covering a broad spectrum of activity in the modern performing arts industry, but students may specialise if they wish. The specialist pathways are Dance, Drama, Vocal Studies, and Theatre Production, and there is a multi-disciplinary pathway that may combine a number of these options. Most importantly, there is greater emphasis on students’ work as they progress through the three-year programme, and the final year offers an unparalleled opportunity to mould their studies to their own specialisms.
