Course Aims:
The course aims to provide you with an understanding of engineering principles including electrical installation, gas heating systems, pipe work, machining and fabrication and welding.
Course Content:
Student will study a range of subject areas, including:
- Engineering processes
- Safe working practices
- Electrical installation
- Gas heating systems
- Fault dignosis, rectification and final testing
- Machining and Fitting (including Pipe Fitting)
- Fabrication and Welding
Progression:
On successful completion of the course you may progress to the Electrical Installation NVQ Level 2, Gas Installation NVQ Level 2 or Plumbing NVQ Level 2. Alternatively, you may wish to progress to a related Level 3 course, such as Certificate in Engineering, a National Diploma in Engineering. You may also progress to apprenticeships in associated industries.
