Course Description
All College First courses include Vocational studies, English, Maths and IT. You may be involved in additional activities, ie visits and trips. You will join an induction to help you settle and it may be possible to take more than one vocational option.The course is for those who wish to develop a range of employability skills and techniques in order to pursue a career in the Engineering profession.

Entry Requirements
GCSEs: At least 4 GCSEs at Grade E one of which must be English. (Maths required for some subjects)

• Enterprise Projects, etc
• Visits
• Team Events

Awarding Body: EMTA

Level: L1

Duration: 1 year

Attendance Modes: Day

Assessment: A range of methods will be used, including assignments, practical assessment and, for some courses, external tests and portfolio work.

Progression Routes: You can continue your studies onto a vocational course at Level 2 or choose to pursue employment.
