Pesticide Applications - Ground Crop Sprayer
It is a legal requirement for any persons applying pesticides on a commercial basis to be qualified. This course will provide the skills and knowledge for the PA 2 Ground Crop Sprayer certificate. BEFORE completion of this the candidate will need to complete the foundation module PA1 to gain the full qualification.
Training Method
Practical training with knowledge delivered through course notes.
Course Content:
- Legal and statutory legislation related to pesticide applications with a Ground Crop Sprayer.
- Preparing sprayer and tractor for work.
- Risk assessments of the machine and the site.
- Pre-start checks and routine maintenance.
- Recognise instrument readings and operate all the controls.
- Inspect vehicle and comment on serviceability.
- Interoperate product label.
- Calibrate sprayer.
- Operate the machine on site:
- Prepare simulated concentrated chemical
- Fill sprayer
- Accurately apply simulated chemical in a field situation
- Change a blocked nozzle and filter.
- Post operation expectations and reporting defects.
- Complete application records.
