The first three sessions will be spent exploring in depth the photographic potential of the historic buildings and gardens at Charterhouse.Charterhouse is a historic complex of buildings in Smithfield, London, dating back to the 14th century. Substantial fragments remain from this monastic period, but the site was largely rebuilt after 1545 as a large courtyard house. Since then it has been a charitable hospital for military pensioners and a school. The historic interiors and surrounding gardens offer interesting subject matter for photographers. The final session will be based at City Lit where we will review all the work done over the 3 weeks with group discussion and feedback. What previous students liked about the course:“Access to a wonderful location. Excellent guidance from the tutor and very useful clear feedback.”“Practice in a lovely place.”“The practical aspect and the preparation of a project based programme.”“Great location and feedback on images.”
