About this course
You need 4 GCSEs (grade A-C) or a Level 2 BTEC Diploma in Photography (previously BTEC First Diploma) in a relevant subject and a portfolio of work.

What will you be learning?
This course is for people who are keen to explore and develop skills in photography. You will train in a well-equipped photographic studio with professional quality flashlight, negative scanners and digital imaging software. In the first year you will explore a wide range of photographic areas. In the second year you are encouraged to develop greater depth and explore individual specialisms through self-directed brief writing. Assessment is continuous and based completion of individual projects.
What happens when you have finished?
After this course you can progress onto the Foundation Degree in Photography or pursue a career as a freelance photographer, photojournalist or photographic assistant.
